Tuberville Says US "Forced" Putin to Invade Ukraine

He said Putin is "on top of his game."

Sen. Tommy Tuberville went on the 'Jeff Poor Show' on Monday to complain about the Ukraine aid bill and blame the United States for the invasion, claiming that we "forced" Putin to invade Ukraine:

"We forced this issue. We kept forcing NATO all the way to eastern Europe and Putin just got tired of it. He said, 'Listen, I do not want missiles on my border from the United States. It'd be like Russian coming to Mexico and putting missiles in Mexico. I can understand what he's talking about. There should've been negotiations. This Administration does not know how to negotiate. Anthony Blinken, our Secretary of State? My gosh, is that the best we got?"

Former Tucker Carlson employee Poor asked Tuberville about his thoughts about Tucker's "interview" with Putin. Tuberville repeated popular Kremlin talking points that are virtually direct quotes from Putin and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov:

"You can tell Putin is on top of his game. One thing he said that, it really rung a bell, is the propaganda media machine over here, they sell anything they possibly can to go after Russia. Listen, if we don't make Russia part of the world and get away from this USSR communism situation, we got to get peace back on this planet. We've been fighting wars for years and haven't won any of them except for World War II."

He then went on to say that supporting Ukraine is pointless because there is no hope for them:

"They can't win. It's not going to happen. Someone needs to negotiate. Donald Trump will have this over in a matter of weeks."
