Trump Reposts January 6th "Fedsurrection" False Flag Conspiracy, Attacks Voting
On Truth Social, Trump continued attacking voting rights and defended himself against responsibility for the January 6th riot attempting to overturn the 2020 election.
Trump Amplified "Fedsurrection" False Flag Conspiracy Theory
Trump reposted a "fedsurrection" conspiracy theory post which claims government agents actually created the January 6th riot at the Capitol. The post Trump amplified claims any Trump supporter at the riot who wore a mask was actually "Antifa."
Despite all the actual Trump supporters going to jail for rioting at the Capitol, this false flag conspiracy theory continues to circulate among the right wing. Trump's repost will further fuel the narrative that he's not responsible for his actions leading up to and on January 6th.
Claiming all the masked people in the Capitol riot were "Antifa" is absurd. In reality, some of the Trump-supporting rioters wore masks and have already been charged including Joseph Padilla, a man who threw a flagpole at police during the riot.
Trump Boosted Nationwide Ban on Ballot Drop Boxes
In another attack on democracy, Trump also reposted an attack on ballot drop boxes which allow easier voting for people who can't get off work or who are unable to wait in line.
Trump "ReTruthed" Attack on Mail-In Ballots and Voting Machines
Trump continued attacking voting right when he boosted a call for the GOP to fight "to get rid of mail in voting and electronic voting machines."
Trump continues his election denying-fueled attack on convenient voting and shifting blame for the January 6th riot onto others. Trump is amplifying blame on the deep state, a claim that the Capitol riot was a false flag "fedsurrection." This is something a dictator would do: attack voting and defend his followers storming the Capitol building to overturn the election in his favor.
