Trump Removed Mention of Stormy Daniels Affair from Article ... Again!
Trump just can't stop posting manipulated articles, and MeidasTouch will continue to cover Trump's egregious, unethical behavior. Trump has posted yet another media manipulated article to Truth Social.
This is the 4th altered article uncovered by MeidasTouch in March. Trump's posts appear to be screenshots of actual articles, but they are manipulated. Trump's altered articles share a news organization’s logo, title, and byline, but scrubs the article's body of unfavorable content that Trump's doesn't like.
Trump's latest victims of media manipulation are The Washington Post and writer Shayna Jacobs. The original article currently titled, “Ex-prosecutor’s book could hurt Trump investigation, district attorney worries,” can be found on The Washington Post's webpage here, and Trump’s redacted article can be found below for comparison purposes.
The article from January 2023 covers District Attorney Alvin Braggs' concern that a former prosecutor on the case has a book coming out which could potentially impact the Stormy Daniels hush money case. The book, People vs. Donald Trump, was published February 2023 and Trump's posting of this 2023 article could signal a potential legal strategy or vector of attack he plans to exploit.
Trump deleted 12 paragraphs from the article. Here's a summary of the unfavorables Trump deleted:
1. A statement that from a former prosecutor and author, Mark Pomerantz, on the case stating they are confident in their actions in the Trump investigation and he is standing by his book
2. A statement from publisher Simon and Schutster standing by Pomerantz and his book
3. Trump lost a fight over the release of his tax returns
4. Trump's former lawyer, Michael Cohen, testified for 2 1/2 hours for Bragg's team, indicating Bragg was focusing on Trump's hush money paid to Stormy Daniels
5. Stormy Daniels says she had an affair with Trump "years before the election," something Trump denies
6. Cohen said Bragg's team was "extremely competent, thorough and knowledgeable"
7. Bragg contacted "Keith Davidson, an attorney who helped arrange the payment to Daniels"
8. A comment indicating Pomerantz believed Trump should be prosecuted
Trump scrubbed several paragraphs from this article, including Daniel's claim that she had a sexual encounter with him. This isn't Trump's first time scrubbing a mention of himself cheating on Melania. In another media manipulated post, Trump removed mention of affairs with both Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal.
This is the 4th media manipulated article posted by Trump in March and the 18th overall that MeidasTouch has uncovered. Once again, Trump’s actions move beyond censorship, creating “fake news” propaganda that changes the original work of reporters to hide information from his Truth Social followers.
