The Republican Study Committee has recently released a report outlining its objectives if Republicans are able to keep power in the House of Representatives, take back the Senate, and take back the White House. The top-lines from this proposal represent one of the most extreme policy agendas the United States Congress has ever seen. The Committee is one of the largest caucuses in the Republican party, with about 170 members of Congress signing onto this agenda.

The report, titled "Fiscal Sanity to Save America," represents a budget proposal that Republicans will try to pass next year. Within this budget proposal, Republicans seek a number of substantial cuts to government programs and propose several policies that an average American would not agree with.

These include:

  • increasing the retirement age to become eligible for retirement benefits like Social Security;
  • passing the Life At Conception Act which would outlaw abortion and IVF for millions of Americans;
  • cutting parts of the Affordable Care Act, thereby increasing healthcare costs for millions of Americans; and
  • reforming Medicare to limit the number of individuals eligible

These are just some of the goals of the Republican conference heading into 2024. For a full breakdown, see this video from MeidasTouch contributor, Aaron Parnas:
