This morning, President Biden made a short address to the media condemning the violent protests Americans have witnessed on college campuses in recent weeks. In the short speech, the President made clear that everyone has a right to peacefully protest, whether on campus or elsewhere, but that violence in these protests, and specifically, vandalism or destruction of property, would not be tolerated.

Today's address comes as college campuses have been forced to cancel graduation events and close down their campuses over pro-Palestinian protests, that, in many instances have turned violent and have included antisemitic rhetoric targeting Jewish students on campus.
