MAGA Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) told the world she was "done" with Speaker Mike Johnson in a post on X Thursday.

"We need a Speaker of the House who will fight to secure America's border at all cost!" Greene said. "I'm done with this one."

Greene also posted that she would be voting no on a government funding package likely coming to the House floor for a vote Friday. "Our Republican majority is a complete failure...I'm voting NO! SHUT IT DOWN!"

House rules still dictate that a single member can make a motion to remove the Speaker. Mike Johnson was elected speaker after the removal of Speaker Kevin McCarthy in October of last year, the first time in history a Speaker of the House was removed.

Greene has been seen as the odds-on favorite to make a motion to vacate Johnson's Speakership for months in response to his willingness to work with Democrats to prevent a government shutdown.
