Michigan GOP Chair Warns That Democrats Are Pushing Electric Vehicles, Want to Control Us

Michigan GOP Chair, election denier, and all-around conspiracy theorist Kristina Karamo ranted against electric vehicles on the Charlie Kirk show and claimed Democrats are plotting to "control us." Electric vehicles create jobs in Michigan, a state historically known for auto production.

However, electric vehicles become the target of right wing conspiracy theories, and those are something Karamo loves. The head of the Michigan GOP sees electric vehicles as a negative. 

In 2022, Kristian Karamo said she is "a daughter and granddaughter of automotive workers" and lamented that Michigan was losing "automotive business." 

Kristina Karamo also campaigned as "an ally for the automotive industry" during her failed run for Secretary of State.

For some reason, Karamo tweeting support for the auto industry doesn't include electric vehicles. More an more auto manufacturers are producing them.

In 2022, Karamo tweeted a rant mixing in January 6 hearings and Tesla. Karamo implied Democrats would call those opposed to watching the hearings and buying a Tesla "a bigot" and in "support [of] white supremacy." Being opposed to electric vehicles doesn't make you racist. It does make you a luddite and anti-jobs. This is who is in charge of the Michigan Republican Party.
