Judge Juan Merchan, presumably out of an ambundance of caution, alerted both Trump and the prosecution of a Facebook comment left on the New York Unified Courts Facebook page.

On May 20th, the NY Courts Facebook page posted about their chat with Judge Jeffrey K. Oing for their Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month Diversity Dialogue. These posts often attract racist trolls and bigots in the comments.

One reply was from an account going by the name "Michael Anderson." The comment, posted on May 29th, read:

"Thank you for all your hard against the MAGA crazies! My cousin is a juror on Trumps criminal case and they're going to convict him tomorrow according to her. 🙏Thank you New York courts!!!! ❤️"

Another account called "Lopsided FreeSpeech," which has no profile picture or account history posted, replied that the comment implied "Michael's" cousin committed a crime because a juror isn't supposed "to discuss the case before it ended."

"Michael Anderson" replied back, "Now we are married ❤️😁." As it turns out, the "Michael Anderson" account describes itself as a "transabled and a professional shit poster."

The account also has a header that reads, "Facebook, wasting peoples lives since 2004." The account also claims his nickname is "fuck you."

For all we know, the two accounts belong to the same person. This appears to be a transphobic account that targeted a post on diversity to spread a bizarre and twisted pro-Trump message. If this sounds confusing, this is how trolls often work.

They will post something that sounds like it is for what they are against, often in an exaggerated form in order to make fun of what they don't like. In this case, the prosecution of Trump.

Trump does attract bigots and transphobes to his cause. The account also has a post of a punk rock musician GG Allin. The artist performed extreme "transgressive acts" that we won't go into detail here.

So called shit posters are often attracted to extreme individuals either to extol them or to use them to attack others. What we are looking at here is likely a deranged individual who posts online to get a rise out of others.

Because the case and nature of the comments is important, Judge Merchan is informing both parties out of an abundance of caution.
